On Saturday night, we enjoyed a family game night at church. The theme of the evening was Heros in honor of Father's Day. The dads were instructed to dress up as a "super hero" and were challenged to a Wii tournament, among other games. Not every dad dressed up, but those who came in costume added fun spice to the evening!

This past weekend was a delightful time spent in God's glorious and majestic creation at the beach! I am so grateful to my sweet family (and Rhonda ~ my adopted "sister" for the summer) for making my birthday extra-special and for the wonderful memories we made together!
Thanks to my Aunt Nora, we were able to borrow a beach house belonging to friends of hers that provided us with a beautiful home setting for the weekend. This was not just any beach house, but a truly luxurious, 5 star accommodation sitting right on a private stretch of ocean!
We arrived Friday evening just in time for a walk along the water before the sun set. Then, the next morning, Rhonda and I rolled out of bed at 6:00 a.m. and dashed down to the beach to watch the sunrise.
