A new little niece!

Congratulations to my sister and brother-in-law on the birth of their third daughter yesterday evening!

Briana Nicole Day
8 lbs. 11 oz.
21 inches

This was Katelin's first birth here in the United States after delivering twice in Ukraine.  She had a home birth at my parents' home, and everything went beautifully!  Mama and baby are doing well.  We praise the Lord for this new little life to love!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Today, my adorable niece turned 1!
I so wish I could have been there to give her a hug!
The last time I hugged her was when she was three weeks old.
But the waiting won't last long!
I leave Bolivia for Houston in just two weeks and the Days will arrive a few days later.

Here is Little Miss Cutie-Pie listening to Grandmommy and Granddaddy sing!

An Update from the Days

My sister and brother-in-law and adorable niece, Melissa, recently returned to the United States for a furlough visit after two years in Ukraine. They are currently stationed in Colorado spending time with Nathan's family (although Katelin happens to be with my family in Houston at the moment due to a surprise birthday celebration she traveled in for). She recently posted pictures of their travels to America and time there so far. I had a wonderful time viewing them and thought you would too! Of course, Melissa is the star of the show. :) Check out her album here!

Days in Ukraine

For those of you who follow the life and work of my sister and brother-in-law over in Ukraine (or for those of you who would like to), here is the link to their latest blog post which in turn has a link to the latest photos my sister has been snapping this summer. It was great to get a pictorial update! And of course, seeing my niece's adorable smiles always makes my day. Can't wait to hug that little chubber in January!!!

The Latest Dose of Melissa Cuteness

I just received this video today, compliments of my sister and brother-in-law in Ukraine. It showcases my niece's latest antics and accomplishments. What she lacks in hair, she certainly makes up for in smiles and wrinkly-nose cuteness!

I just got an email from my sister alerting me to their latest blog post that contains the many expressions of my adorable niece. These pictures made me laugh out-loud, so I just had to pass the link along! You can see the pictures here.

'Twas the Day After Christmas...

...and we snapped a couple of cute pictures that I've neglected to post!

Doting over our favorite baby.

Such attentive eyes!

We think she's a keeper!

Kelsie meets Melissa for the first time at an ETO team gathering.
What can we say? Everybody is smitten with "our" baby!

All Together At Last

How do you spell ANGELIC?

Kisses, kisses

A happy mommy with her pretty flowers.

We're good buddies.

She is such a snuggle-poo!

Sweet dreams, little one.

One proud auntie!

Frowny face - oh so lovable!

Somebody likes Aunt Katrina's lap!

Melissa is supposed to be having "awake time" right now...but it doesn't look like she's interested in that idea!

"Come on, Duckie. Wake up!"

Katelin enjoyed opening Dad's suitcases full of MORE baby stuff!
(Thank you Mrs. Loo for the cute clothes and bibs!)

These three were getting a little goofy with the personalized bibs...what can we say, the hour was late!

Somebody's read for bed...

Melissa's Homecoming

The sign is ready, the flowers are arranged...

the table is set...

Here she is!

What an adorable cutie-pie!

Fast asleep in Grandpa's arms.

Lovin' that thumb.

Now it's Grandma's turn. She is absolutely thrilled! She's been waiting for days to hold this precious little one.

(By the way, Grandpa and Grandma are not the official names for the grandparents in this household. They are still trying to decide what they want to be called, so for now, these generic terms will have to suffice!)

The identification badge from the hospital. A little old fashioned perhaps? :-)

Oh, how we love this baby!

Night, night little one.
