VBS Family Night

On the last day of VBS, we invited the children and their families back that evening for a parent presentation of their songs and verses, a slideshow of pictures and videos, and a bunch of carnival-type activities and games.  We were very pleased with the turnout and the opportunity to connect with the families of the children we had been ministering to all week.  Here is the video that was played during the program, compliments of our friends from First Baptist Childress.

And here are some snapshots I took during the carnival when I wasn't chasing my two-year-old around and keeping him out of people's games! :)

"Gator Golf"

I love how they used our animal team signs from the week and incorporated them into the game time!  (Even though technically, this was a crocodile...but who's noticing???)

Isaac was very fascinated with this game and tried to play it several times!

A candy walk! (Instead of a cake walk.)

The Wildebeest Bean Bag Toss was a big hit...

especially with Isaac!

He was quite good at it too!

Balloon animals with Mr. Tim were also hugely popular!  The line was always really long for this activity.

Especially when he started making crazy hats! :)

There were lots of other fun games going on in the building, but I didn't get pictures of them.  And out back, hot dogs and chips were being served when the kids needed a little food break.  It was a great evening!
