A Festival of Lights!

It's the end of the semester and we needed a break from the books, so the other night a big group of us went to the Hidalgo Festival of Lights. While the festival itself wasn't as amazing or impressive as I expected it to be, spending the time with friends in a festive way on a cold night was a blast!

It's impossible not to have fun with this group!

A lively crowd on the trolley ride!

Cinderella's carriage.

The gang's all here!

Mr. Crocodile

Alejo about to become Mr. Crocodile's dinner...

Sweethearts Luis and Cristina

Hidalgo City Hall all lit up

The Pirate Ship (and the pirate?)

Now that's a Christmas tree!

The home of a famous Mexican singer

Shiver me timbers!

There were lots of Chinese displays at this festival of lights due to leftover decorations from the annual Border Fest featuring the nation of China. A little odd...but very pretty! :-)

Blast off!

Merry Christmas everyone!
